A&G Services’ Commitment to OSHA Safety Standards

When it comes to safety, there’s no room for shortcuts or half steps. It’s something that requires an all or nothing approach. Since we are a diversified company that performs services for both commercial and industrial clients, our technicians often find themselves working in potentially dangerous areas. Since this is the case, safety is of the utmost importance.

At A&G Services, nothing is more important to us than the safety of our employees, as well as our clients and the surrounding community. We’re dedicated to keeping everyone out of harm’s way and that’s why we strictly adhere to the standards and guidelines provided by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Read on to learn more about the steps we’re actively taking to stay on top of all safety precautions.

What Are OSHA Safety Standards?

OSHA is a federal agency that is a part of the U.S. Department of Labor. Regardless of the industry, it’s OSHA’s responsibility to set industry health and safety standards. As stated on the OSHA website, their primary purpose is:

“To ensure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education, and assistance.”

However, they do more than just provide safety guidelines—they also train employers on workplace safety. By educating employers on potential hazards in the workplace, OSHA aims to prevent workplace accidents that could result in injuries or death. In addition, they monitor and inspect work environments to hold employers accountable for maintaining safe work conditions.

The Department of Labor enforces the rules OSHA creates as law so that all workplaces are as safe as possible. OSHA enforces these rules uniformly so that everyone is held to the same standards. We make sure that all of our employees meet and exceed the standards laid down before them so that they create a safe and efficient workplace.

Staying Up to Date

A&G Services cares deeply about the present and future health and safety of our employees. It’s for this reason that we remain fully focused on paying acute attention to every major and minor detail concerning contractor safety. To ensure that we stay up to date on the latest standards and guidelines sent down from OSHA, every member of our team attends training courses so we can continue to work safely and proactively for our customers.

The A&G Difference

Being a commercial and industrial service and maintenance provider, our team has experience working in a variety of industries. This includes the manufacturing, food and beverage, aerospace, healthcare, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as many more. As such, our team is trained excessively to adhere to OSHA standards in all of these industries.

Whether they’re project managers, supervisors, or foremen, every member of our team takes preparations to maintain safety. We have weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety training designed to protect and prevent our employees from suffering from unfortunate accidents or workplace mishaps.

Our Track Record

Occupational safety and health can be difficult to manage in the industries for which we provide services. However, A&G has made sure that it is a top priority from the start of any project we do. We are proud to say that our experience modification rate (EMR)—a rating used to gauge the past cost of injuries and future chances of risk—sits at a .61. An EMR of 1 is the general industry average. With a record like ours, you have nothing to worry about when it comes to safety.

A&G Services is a proud provider of high-quality mechanical, plumbing, and maintenance services. Our team not only has years of experience, but we also have some of the most skilled technicians in the industry.
